I love red so am a fan of the first lady’s red ensemble for the ball. A coworker said she dressed like a fairy god mother for her first inauguration, but dressed like a queen this time. I hadn’t thought if it that way, but her 2008 white, elegant etherel ensemble was comparatively demure…
Now, the statuesque first lady, well educated, career woman and mother of two, boldly stands proud with her head high. What do you think? And, props to Michelle’s fit and attractive figure – glad her dress modestly accentuated that. Last, I was caught off guard at first, but also like her youthful and modern bangs… How about you?

To continue a youthful look, when approaching age 50, you should either opt for botox or bangs. Looks like Michelle went the non-cosmetic surgery approach. Props!!
Well said, thanks!
My all-time favorite Inauguration dress has to be Lady Bird Johnson’s. The photos do not do that dress justice.
For Michelle’s dress- I’d rank it 3rd- behind Lady Bird and Jackie.
Yes, those are beautiful dresses – thanks for sharing!
